GOCO Privacy Policy

Protecting the privacy of all visitors to this site is extremely important to the General Osteopathic Council of Ontario (GOCO).

The following privacy policy provides information on how the GOCO collects, uses and safeguards the personal information you provide. This policy may be updated at a future time, as necessary, so please re-read it periodically.

Collected Information

GOCO collects information about an identified individual in three ways:

  • During information requests via email, mailing list signup, seminar / workshop registration or Practitioner registration, you provide us with personal information;

  • When payment is received for a seminar / workshop or membership registration, you provide us with personal information directly in the form of cheque / money order / credit card information;

  • When you access this web site, your computer leaves a data trail (cookie).

How Collected Information is Used

GOCO uses your personal information to better understand your needs and provide you with better service. Specifically, your information is used to complete a transaction, to communicate with you and to provide you with requested information.

Credit Cards

Credit card numbers are used for payment processing only. When credit card information is provided in writing or over the phone, GOCO must keep the information provided in a secure location, for a minimum of 5 years, after the transaction is completed.

Our Assurance

From time to time, GOCO may use your information to contact you for quality assurance or satisfaction information. GOCO will not sell, trade, rent or lease your personally identifiable information to others, unless permission is given, are assisting law enforcement or are otherwise required to do so by law.
